The BCER seeks proponents to provide seed & amendment prep, revegetation & vegetation monitoring including drone seeding & imagery services.

Description

The specific site service areas included in the Request for Standing Offer include the following (proponents may submit for one or both):

1. Seed Procurement and Amendments

a. Procure and store ecologically suitable seed from local and non-local suppliers and prepare customized seed mixes.
b. Create customized microbial amendments, mix amendments and seed in optimal ratios, and create gel capsules to facilitate effective seeding.
c. Provide seed mixes to the BCER’s approved consultants for drone or traditional seeding on Orphan sites.
d. Provide reports summarising seed species, ratios, and amendments, and certificates of seed analysis.
e. Project management, including the tracking and documentation of seed species and volumes, and providing support in determining ecologically suitable seed mixes appropriate for Crown land sites, and in Indigenous relations.

2. Drone Services

a. Planning and scheduling in collaboration with the BCER and assigned environmental consultants, and service provision and supervision of drone facilitated re-vegetation onsite seeding and/or vegetation management. Proponents may submit for one or both drone services:

i. Vegetation management - Multispectral drone capabilities
>Vegetation identification
>Weed identification
>Vegetation health
ii. Re-vegetation - Seeding drone
>Distribution of provided capsules containing seed and powdered amendments
>Distribution of loose seed mix and powdered amendments

b. Provide a summary report of activity completed on each site, report details may include imagery and analysis of vegetation coverage, health and identification, noting areas of erosion or exposed soil (multispectral done scopes), or georeferenced figure of seed application, site area covered and seed volume (re-vegetation scopes). Report(s) will be scope dependent.
