Review of a Technical Assessment Report (TAR) for the Woodfibre LNG Export Facility Construction Phase Waste Discharge Authorization (WDA) Closed

Description

The Regulator seeks a Proponent to conduct a 3^rd Party Review of a Technical Assessment Report (TAR) for the Woodfibre LNG Export Facility Construction Phase Waste Discharge Authorization (WDA) (Task 1) and attached Environmental Management Plans; and, following their review, meet with Regulator staff to provide an overview of the review process carried out by the Proponent and to discuss the findings of their review (Task 2). The TAR was prepared in support of an application for a WDA, pursuant to the Waste Discharge Regulation under the Environmental Management Act (EMA), for the discharge of effluent generated during the construction of the Woodfibre LNG Facility via two sedimentation ponds to Howe Sound. An Information Request Table indicating the required items that have been identified for review and approval of the WDA, and that are addressed in the TAR, will form the basis for the Proponent’s review and will be provided to all Proponents who express interest in submitting a quote for the Tasks outlined above. The Regulator has approximately $30k allocated to this project.
