NOTICE OF INTENT TO CONTRACT

The British Columbia Energy Regulator (BCER) is hereby giving notice of the intent to contract with Stantec Consulting Ltd. for the purpose of completing archeological assessment work that has already commenced. The following responsibilities will be within scope of contract:

The Contractor will provide archaeological services in support of planned Orphan site restoration activities. Services may also include additional information gathering and consulting services, and other services required to complete the scope of work, as directed by the Regulator.

The BCER has chosen not to tender this contract for the following reasons:

  1. The vendor holds an exclusive permit, issued under the Heritage Conservation Act, to complete this work on orphan sites for the BCER.

Vendors wishing to object to this decision should contact the procurement team via email at Procurement@bc-er.ca on or before 2:00 p.m. local time on October 24, 2025 presenting specific reasons for their objections. Vendor ability to offer the same level of service at a lower cost in the same time frame will be the key criteria regarding the consideration of vendor objections.
