Description

The Regulator seeks a GIS service provider to support existing ESRI tools, data and applications used within OGC infrastructure to meet business needs. This should include experience with and expert knowledge of ESRI software including ArcGIS ver. 10X, ArcPro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, SDE Database systems, Geocortex, custom Workflow. The Regulator expects this to be a multi-year initiative and will enter a three-year contract with the successful proponent with 2 optional years.

.net and Javascript are the 2 languages that Geocortex Workflow/Reports use. One is version 4 and one is version 5.

Unknown – majority of support will be for ESRI platform tools (webmaps/apps) and Geocortex.

Oil and Gas, Forestry, Natural resource Proponents, Government (Federal & Provincial), Internal OGC Clients, External Public (including regional districts, municipalities, and First Nations).

Including the appendix. The content of the proposal should focus upon the mandatory and desirable criteria outlined in the RFP.

Just a General support contract. We use ArcGIS (10x, AGO/Transitioning to Pro/Enterprise) – We are not seeking a specific quantity of personnel but would be interested in seeing rates for proposed resource roles.

Should travel be required, the commission will cover supported expenses. This would include travel and accommodation as well as relevant communication expenses.

Questions and Answers

Is the support needed for a specific project or general support? / Could you provide more information on the project for this proposal?

In section 4.1, one of the listed requirements is to support the existing maps. Is this support focused on GIS developers or to map consumers?

How many maps the service provider should anticipate to support?

In section 4.1, GeoCortex seems to be already integrated into your core Regulators systems. a. Is it internal too?

b. Is there any existing ETL report for monitoring?

c. Are all your solutions communicating trough API?

d. If not, is it possible to share what tool you are using?

What is the coding language/platforms you are using to produce and maintain your workflows?

What is the estimated time/frequency of support needed by product?

What are the type of users of your maps (type of industry, or governmental organizations)?

How many assigned resources are you expecting to support the activities mentioned in the request for proposal?

In page 8, it was mentioned a maximum of 10 pages for the response of the proposal. Do the 10 pages include or exclude the appendix?

What is the estimated level of support required? Is this more adhoc service based or is there a specific full-time equivalent / quantity of personnel the BC OGC is looking for?

As part of section 5.1, the BCOGC has identified that some on-site meetings may be required. Can the OGC clarify what this entails and if travel expenses will be covered?
